Granite System Project Policy Payment Terms

Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Granite System Interior Designs LLC. These terms explain how estimates, payments, measurements, fabrication, installation, materials, warranties, and project responsibilities are handled. By approving an estimate, invoice, quote, or project proposal, the client agrees to the terms below.

1. Scope of Work

Granite System Interior Designs LLC provides countertop-related services, which may include consultation, material selection, measuring, templating, fabrication, delivery, and installation of granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, and other surface materials.

The exact scope of each project is determined by the written estimate, invoice, proposal, approved selections, measurements, and any written change approvals between the client and Granite System Interior Designs LLC.

2. Estimates, Quotes & Invoices

Estimates and quotes are prepared based on the information available at the time of pricing, including approximate dimensions, material selection, layout, edge profile, sink or cooktop cut-outs, backsplash, removal needs, and project conditions.

  • Final pricing may change after field measurements, template confirmation, slab selection, or scope changes.
  • Material availability, slab size, layout, seams, waste, and special fabrication requirements may affect the final price.
  • Any additional work not listed in the original estimate may require written approval and additional charges.

3. Payment Terms

Thank you for choosing Granite System Interior Designs LLC. We are excited to work with you and bring your vision to life. Clients should review the project invoice carefully for project details, pricing, and payment requirements.

Initial Payment

For first-time clients, an initial payment of 50% of the total estimate is required to commence the project. The project may not be scheduled, fabricated, or reserved for production until the required initial payment is received.

Final Balance

For completed installations, the remaining balance is due upon completion of installation unless a different written payment arrangement has been approved by Granite System Interior Designs LLC.

  • Payments must be made according to the invoice or approved payment arrangement.
  • Delayed payments may delay scheduling, fabrication, installation, warranty support, or future services.
  • Returned payments, failed payments, or chargebacks may result in additional fees or collection costs where permitted.
  • Client payment confirms acceptance of the estimate, invoice, and project terms unless otherwise stated in writing.

4. Materials, Colors & Natural Variations

Natural stone and engineered stone surfaces may vary in color, tone, veining, movement, pattern, texture, mineral deposits, fissures, pits, resin fill, and other natural or manufacturing characteristics. Samples, photos, showroom displays, and online images are for general reference only and may not perfectly represent the final slab or installed surface.

  • Natural stone variations are part of the character of the material and are not considered defects.
  • Quartz and porcelain colors may vary between batches, brands, displays, and digital images.
  • Clients are encouraged to view and approve slabs when possible before fabrication.
  • Once material is cut, fabricated, or installed, cancellations or returns are generally not available for custom work.

5. Measurements, Templates & Site Readiness

Accurate measurements and templates are essential for proper fabrication and installation. The client is responsible for ensuring that the project area is ready for measurement and installation.

  • Cabinets must be installed, level, secure, and ready before final template unless otherwise approved.
  • Appliances, sinks, faucets, cooktops, and project fixtures should be available when required for template or installation.
  • Changes after template may require re-template, re-fabrication, schedule changes, and additional charges.
  • Granite System Interior Designs LLC is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete site conditions or missing fixtures.

6. Installation Conditions

Installation requires safe and reasonable access to the job site. The client must provide access to the property, work area, parking/loading area, and any necessary building permissions or elevator reservations.

  • Existing countertop removal may be included only if listed in the estimate or invoice.
  • Plumbing, electrical, gas, appliance reconnection, wall repair, cabinet repair, painting, and tile work are not included unless specifically stated.
  • Seam placement is determined by material size, slab layout, safety, fabrication standards, access, and project conditions.
  • Minor wall gaps, uneven walls, cabinet issues, and field adjustments may occur due to existing site conditions.
  • Installation dates are scheduled in good faith but may change due to material availability, production needs, weather, site readiness, or unforeseen circumstances.

7. Changes, Cancellations & Custom Work

Countertops are custom fabricated for each project. Once measurements are approved, material is ordered, slabs are reserved, or fabrication begins, changes and cancellations may be limited.

  • Any change to material, edge, sink, layout, backsplash, cut-outs, or project scope may affect price and schedule.
  • Custom-cut, fabricated, special-order, or installed materials are generally non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • If a client delays a project after material or fabrication has begun, storage, handling, or rescheduling fees may apply.

8. Warranty, Care & Limitations

Granite System Interior Designs LLC stands behind professional workmanship. Any workmanship warranty, manufacturer warranty, or product warranty may vary depending on material type, brand, project conditions, and the written invoice or manufacturer documentation.

  • Manufacturer warranties, when available, are provided by the product manufacturer and subject to their requirements.
  • Damage caused by misuse, impact, heat shock, improper cleaning, settling cabinets, structural movement, plumbing leaks, or third-party work is not covered.
  • Natural stone may require sealing and proper maintenance. The client is responsible for routine care after installation.
  • Granite System Interior Designs LLC is not responsible for pre-existing cabinet, wall, floor, plumbing, electrical, or structural conditions.

9. Photos & Project Documentation

Granite System Interior Designs LLC may take photos or videos of project areas, materials, fabrication details, or completed installations for documentation, quality control, portfolio, marketing, or customer service purposes. Personal information will not be intentionally displayed in marketing materials without appropriate care.

Countertop Project Terms

Clear Terms for Countertop Estimates, Payments & Installation

Granite System Interior Designs LLC provides countertop fabrication and installation services for homeowners,
contractors, designers, and property owners across the DMV area. This page explains the general policies that
apply to granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, and other custom surface projects.

Countertop Terms Designed for a Smooth Project

Every countertop project includes important steps: selecting material, confirming measurements, approving
details, scheduling template, fabricating the stone, and completing installation. Because countertops are
custom-made for each kitchen, bathroom, vanity, island, fireplace, bar, or commercial surface, clear terms help
protect the schedule, the material, and the final result.

These terms and conditions help clients understand how payment requirements, deposits, final balances,
estimates, custom fabrication, installation access, site readiness, material variations, and warranty
limitations are handled by Granite System Interior Designs LLC.

Clients are encouraged to review their invoice, estimate, color selection, edge profile, sink cut-out,
backsplash details, and project scope before approving work. If anything is unclear, our team is happy to
explain the process before production begins.

When does my countertop project officially begin?

A project typically begins after the estimate is approved, required payment is received, and Granite System
confirms the next step, such as scheduling, measurement, template, or material reservation.

Why can final pricing change?

Pricing can change if measurements, material availability, slab layout, seams, cut-outs, edge profiles,
backsplash, removal, or site conditions differ from the original estimate.

What should be ready before template?

Cabinets should be installed, level, secure, and ready. Sinks, faucets, cooktops, and other required fixtures
should be available when needed for accurate measurement and fabrication.
